Heat 1/R12 at Fairgrounds:

With a quick look at the pace scenario for this race, I’m going to predict a bit of a pace meltdown and will want three horses here, #2 Silver State, #8 Enforceable, and #11 Scabbard. Of these three, I think #8 Enforceable is the horse to beat. #1 Digital intrigues me at a price as he sat off a slow pace and made up some ground, but no one was beating Blackberry Wine that day with that pace set-up.

Heat 2/R13 at Fairgrounds:

We have a much more normal pace scenario here, but I think the speed horses will again be up against it a bit. I think this sets up perfectly for the favorite #8 Anneau d’Or. #1 Modernist intrigues me a bit here as Mott tends to spot his young horses pretty well after maiden wins and I think we will get a very fair price on him. If the favorite doesn’t fire, #9 Lynn’s Map could be the horse to pick up the pieces of a good to fast pace.

The Play:

I actually am very interested in trying to beat #6 British Idiom and #7 Finite in Race 11. I think it’s a small field with a lot of speed so I will try and get some late kick horses home. I will be playing two  pick 3 tickets to take advantage of this opinion.
