Race 3 – #5 Fatima’s Blessing: Looking at the Optix plot, We have a high speed rate and it looks like the 1, 2, and 6 will be vying for the lead. While trying to guess what NYRA jockey’s will do on a turf route is usually futile, I’m going to #trusttheplot here and go with the horse with the best late pace in this race, Fatima’s Blessing. Big Q4 square who per the notes was against the race flow last race and had a nice sustained run 2 back when winning at Belmont. Dini is 1 for 2 so far this meet, gets a jockey upgrade to Jose Lezcano, and drops in class from open company to state bred. Love it at 8-1 ML.

Race 5 – #8 Hayes Bay: Joe Sharp has been having a sneaky good Saratoga meet hitting at 22% with three of those being in MSW company. This one’s sire Upstart has been phenomenal with first time starters, seeing 19% 2yr old debut winners with horses like Zandon and Kathleen O. being in that mix. The dam has also been super solid with 2 winners from 3 foals to make the track. The price should be square with flashier connections in the mix, but this one feels well meant.
