Race 7 – #6 Redefined: Redifined is exiting a key race last out with multiple next out winners. This is always one of my favorite angles, and especially so when horses not only win next out but also improve their speed figures. Gal in a rush, second to Redifined last out, has rattled off two wins since that race with improved figures. Anna Karenina also returned with a nice allowance score. I think Redifined gets overlooked here due to the less popular connections, but she seems to be rapidly improving and capable of working out her own trip. The price should be right to take a shot against Wesley ward.

Race 9 – #3 My Sea Cottage: E8 three cherry special here with My Sea Cottage. Should be the speed of the speed and really has only one way to go. At 30-1 ML I’ll take a shot, had a win at this exact trip at Saratoga on July 13th and has dangerous early speed.

Race 10 – #9 Memphis: Once again I’ll find a race where most of the field has suspect form and I’ll take the new fresh face of the #9 Memphis who may still have more to show. He debuted on the turf without a lot of pedigree to support that move and was then dropped in for a tag in his second start where he won going this trip. Linda has been on fire all meet and the claiming game is where she excels, specifically at finding spots like this one which came up soft for a 50k allowance. I love that he comes back off the maiden score in a protected spot and gets Linda’s go to jock in Jose Ortiz aboard, she’s 26% first off the claim and fires at 31% with Jose up and a positive ROI the last two years. Figure off the last came back strong and is also a trip handicapper’s delight as he was hung wide in both turns and still prevailed. I expect him to sit just off the speeds and get first run coming into the lane.
