Mark had a brutal beat yesterday with the #11 American Know How in the last race and gave us our first zero of the meet. Caleb and Josh are still showing a flat win bet profit, but let’s be honest, we want more!

Race 6 – #6 Ringside: Once again we look to have a ton of weather in the forecast with close to 1” of rain possible during the day and it should start in the early AM which means the track will be amply sloppy come first post and off the turf. Ringside started his career in the Pletcher barn at Tampa which is not a sign of confidence from those connections. He’s now been off since March, ships to Saratoga, and finds himself a touch lighter after the ultimate equipment change. I hope Jack leaves him in for this race which should come off the turf, he has early tactical speed and ran some very competitive dirt figures which fit well against this bunch. Jose Ortiz who has been riding phenomenally the past few months takes the mount on this horse which should be your inside controlling speed. I expect him to go to the front avoiding all the kickback and Jose can walk the dog while saving all the energy, leaving him fresh for a nice sprint home.

Race 7 – #4 Complete Agenda: I won’t be surprised at all if Linda Rice and Jose Ortiz get the job done yet again in the 7th race with Film Star, but this colt has been beaten as the chalk in his last three races and is uncertain to see out the mile and three-sixteenths distance. I’m going in another direction with Complete Agenda. This son of Curlin has flashed promise throughout his career but has been somewhat inconsistent. The form is a little dirty, but he has genuine excuses as he stumbled out of the gate last out and bled two races back at Aqueduct. Morley finally seems to have this horse going in the right direction, as he paired his career top in his last race despite the stumble and projects a forward move today. He’s proven and bred to handle the slop, and Morley goes to his first call pilot in Castellano.
Josh @CherryDrank
SCRATCHED Race 1 – #1 With Know Name: Mark probably wanted to use this horse so badly, but his reluctance to look like a Thomas Morley simp made him change his mind. Broke his maiden going this same trip 2 starts back on good going and was immediately thrown into state-bred stakes company where he was unimpressive and never really involved. Probably in the right spot class-wise here and we’ve seen what Morley, JJ, and Flying P Stable can do at Saratoga. Morley is 29% 2nd off the claim, but only 9% off the 90+ day layoff. Might need some help upfront, but did close to win at Baqueduct going 232/483 at this same distance. More importantly, I really don’t like the 3/5 ML favorite #3 Speakinofthedevil in this race and will be heavily against it.
SCRATCHED Race 9 – #1 No Nay Hudson: Well, with my original pick scratched, I’ll switch my focus to the Quick Call. Turf sprints are notorious for being chaotic races, but I found this to be a somewhat logical race. My top pick, No Nay Hudson, beat the ML favorite, Gaslight Dancer, last time out and seems every bit as good as the 10 for almost double the price. James Graham makes the trip to ride, which you like to see with a horse shipping in. I’ll be using #3 Eye Witness coming off a win on yielding turf at Belmont as well, but I’ll take the longer of the Wards as my top pick.
